I started working in a restaurant after school in 1995, washing dishes, and worked my way up to managing, catering, and closing the restaurant until I graduated high school in 1997.
I then moved to Orange County, started college, and got hired at Maggiano's Italian restaurant. I started in the prep station, then worked and learned all the cooking stations, becoming their catering chef.
I was made food coordinator and started training to be a sous chef in 1999.
I accomplished this when I was 20 years old.
I was also going to college for sales, marketing, and advertising, and I completed all my courses.
