  • Designated as Polk County Auditor-Treasurer, Recorder, Chief Deputy Assessor, Election Administrator, Deputy Clerk of the County Board of Commissioners, DNR Agent, and Driver's License Agent and Motor Vehicle Deputy Registrar.
  • Administer, plan, direct, and supervise the activities and operations of the Polk County Taxpayer Service Center (TPSC), consisting of the following divisions: Assessment Services, Property Records, Recording, Vital Statistics, Licensing, and Elections.
  • Hire, train, manage and develop teams for each division comprised of a total of 23 employees across the divisions. Provide coaching and mentorship, conduct performance evaluations, and establish inclusive work cultures.
  • Develop and administer policies for each specific division as well as policies encompassing the entire TPSC.
  • Budget for a total of 10 department and committee areas. Including forecasting revenues and expenditures and managing grants while maintaining a financially responsible and efficient budget for each area.

  • Evaluate and interpret laws passed by the Minnesota State Legislature to develop and implement compliant processes and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • As designated County Auditor-Treasurer, direct and oversee all aspects of property taxes, including maintaining property ownership, jurisdictional levies, completion and delivery of property tax statements, and collection of property taxes and fees.
