- Supervision and Training: Involved in supervising and training other caregivers, ensuring they are knowledgeable about resident care, safety and documentation

- Compliance: Adhering to all applicable laws, rules and regulations for operating an AFH, including those related to resident care, safety and documentation

- Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of resident care, medication administration and other relevant information.

- Direct Resident Care: Providing personal care assistance, such as bathing toileting and medication administration, as well as engaging residents in activities and fostering a positive, supportive environment.

- Maintaining the Home: Ensuring the home is clean, safe and organized.

- Providing Mobility Assistance: Help patients move between beds, wheelchairs and other locations. Assist with walking and transferring using Hoyer and other equipments.

- Monitoring Vital Signs: Check and record vital signs (Temperature, pulse, blood pressure and respiration rate). Reporting any significant changes to the nursing staff.

- Documenting Patient Care: Recording information about patient care, vital signs and any changes in condition in patients charts and records

- Providing Emotional Support, Companionship and encouragement to patients, helping to alleviate loneliness and anxiety

- Maintaining a clean and Sanitary Environment for the patients, changing linen and ensuring proper infection control practices.
