Volunteer Experience

  • New Pentecost Catholic Ministry, Musician, 2015, 2022, In this position, I joined the Desafio Band and would help NPCM by performing at approximately 15-20 retreats per year, free of charge. I would play the cajon in the Desafio Band and we would provide free catholic music ministry to these retreats. I did well in this position and learned how to play the cajon, become more social, develop more patience, and help out people without expecting things in return.
  • Our Lady of Refuge, Musician, 2015, 2022, In addition to providing music ministry for NPCM, I would also volunteer to play at Mass at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church. I would play at about 20-30 masses per year and played the cajon with the Desafio band. I did this for about seven years and this really helped me learn cajon, social skills, and be content with providing free labor for the greater good.
  • First Communion Class Assistant, 2016, 2022, In this position, I would be a helper for the first communion teacher and give out writing supplies, pass out papers, organize files, and perform tasks asked by the teacher. I did this as free service for my old church. This taught me how to be more organized, basic office habits, and work ethic.
  • Confirmation Class Assistant, 2023, Present, Right now, I assist the confirmation teacher in handing out supplies, organizing documents, passing out papers, and doing any tasks asked of me by the teacher. I currently do this as free service to my new church.
  • Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Lifeteen Program, SEAS Youth Group Assistant, 2024, Present, I currently assist at the Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Lifeteen Program and help setup play equipment, tables, chairs, and activities for the teens attending the group. I’ve learned the most social skills than any other of my experiences and accredit this volunteer activity to my best development in communication, problem solving, confidence, leadership, and reliability skills.
