Essential Job Functions:
• Blends ingredients per a given formula so that finished product will meet customer’s requirements. Dispenses and packages finished product and or intermediates approved by QC.
• Involved in all areas of processing compounds: mixing, filtering, extractions, reactions, heating, sampling, and chilling.
• Checks materials for color odor and other characteristics, following formula instructions for the compound.
• Mixes materials together using heating or cooling methods when needed.
• Reports problems to management.
• Operates forklifts in a safe manner.
• Follows all applicable Production, QC/QA, EHS policies, procedures, GMP’s and maintains an orderly and clean work area.
• Must be capable of physically standing, and capable of lifting/carrying on the average of 50 lbs. repetitively during an 8-hour work shift / consistently for a 40-hour work week.

• Directs the work activities of the departmental material handlers.
• Comply with Customer Packing Specifications.
• Assign packing jobs to departmental material handlers when approved by QC.
• Monitor all work activity to assure correct weights, labels (Kosher and other special needs), all information is properly logged on packing sheets, keeping the packaging areas and container supplies near and orderly in compliance with food safety.
• Assure that computer work is completes with proper SU#, tanks are clean when packing is finished.
• Notify department lean man when additional containers are needed.
• Process stock orders proving enough time for shipment (find-QC-repack-label-ship).

Produce bulk with the use of a multiple phase batch making process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist with the production of batches using the Batch Master Record System.
• Help record production data, including raw materials used, quantities, and timing.
• Check raw materials before production to ensure they match the batch sheet requirements.
• Follow production procedures carefully for accurate measurements and mixing.
• Operate manufacturing equipment to mix and blend chemicals according to provided formula.
• sanitize equipment following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the manufacturing area according to SOPs.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Possess knowledge of proper use of weight scales
• Individuals must be able to operate manufacturing equipment such as but not limited to: mixers, blenders and industrial equipment such as drum movement equipment and forklifts. Forklift certification required.
• Must be familiar with Batch Coding System of Manufacturing
• Knowledge of use of radio frequency devices (RF scanners).
