Maintained clean working areas and cooking surfaces. In order to keep everything organized, and not have a messy area while preparing orders, and have cross contamination happen.
I Operated the pizza oven and other kitchen equipment safely to protect team members from harm and equipment from damage, I also made sure all kitchen equipment was put properly in the right area when not being used. Makes it easier to find and more accessible.
Prepared materials for cooking by cutting vegetables, salmon and meats, and preparing dough, Making sure there is enough prep for the the day and the shift to last. Restocking is a big key, most items are located in the pizza fridge to restock, a few items may be in the walk-in fridge.
Made sure gluten-free station is always stocked, and filled. The gluten free station, comes with its own pizza cutter, plates, and ladles, to keep it not contaminated. Making sure everything in this station is not cross contaminated by any means is very important. Blue gloves (symbolizes gluten-free)must be put on to wear while making these gluten-free pizzas. you can not use items from the regular pizza station for gluten free, because that doesn't make it a certified gluten free pizza. Always making sure everything is always in place in this station, and nothing was out of place is something i did. Everything here must be separate from everything else, and that's something I worked hard in doing while making pizza's in this station. all gluten-free pizza's are served on cauliflower crust.
Labels, something very important, is something I believe is very important, making sure where everything is, is very good to know, but the labels also tell us the shelf life of the items we have on the line, and the amount of shifts we can use it for.
When I am preparing dough for the station, i'm doing doughnuts for the 8oz dough and the 5oz dough, as well as prepping thin crust and our take and bake pizza's
when guests come in, and they are greeted at their table, they are served bread, that bread comes from pizza, so I would have to make sure that is prepared for the server to bring to the guests.
Take and bakes are a promotion at california pizza kitchen, where if a guest buys an entree, they get a take and bake pizza for 8 dollars. When take and bake pizzas come to pizza, I get the par baked 8oz dough and I prepare the pizza on the cardboard pizza trey . and then I wrap it up for the guests, and the only thing they have to do, is bake it when they get home. Take and bakes can also come on thin crust and cauliflower crust.
