  • Became certified as a Child Safety Seat Inspector through the State of Idaho and recruited 6 evaluators to coordinate a car seat compliance check workshop and safeguarded 7 children while donating 3 vehicle booster seats valued at $350 to local families in need.
  • A1C Steinman was called "pivotal" by department leadership during a Wing active shooter drill. Teaming with 14 response agencies, he led 4 medics, treated and triaged 13 "victims", earned an "Excellent" rating, and validated the Wing's emergency response capabilities.
  • Recognized by leadership for response to a local house fire while off duty in a second in response engine, and protected adjacent buildings from a blaze which engulfed 3 structures, 2 vehicles, and a trailer loaded with liquid fuels, supporting 9 mutual aid partners, 38 responders, and saving 10 homes.
  • In partnership with my station captain, I re-wrote truck check out lists and updated all necessary paperwork for 17 vehicles that had not been updated since 2010.
