Samuel Witman

• Participated actively in Agricultural related tasks, such as seeding up trays of plants, setting up irrigation and plastic in the fields, transplanting and harvesting produce, and taking down those fields once the experiment is completed.
• Learned how to properly use a variety of equipment, whether it was in the field or the lab.
• Contacted seed companies and University labs from around the country through phone calls and email.
• Assisted Graduate Students at the Clemson Extension (CREC) with their projects and experiments.

• Helped harvest a variety of crops through the seasons for Kindlewood Farms to sell to farmers markets and restaurants in the Lowcountry area.
• Assisted in the building of hoop houses/green houses.
• Assisted in the breaking down and creating of new rows for plants to be transplanted in.
• Learned how to use different farm equipment, including a broadfork, digging hoe, post hole digger, electric fencing, and many more.

*At Kindlewood Farms, I would usually get asked to work on the weekends throughout these past years, while currently working at the Clemson Extension (CREC).

• Interacted with customers and co-workers, whether it was working at the register or making sure everything was orderly throughout the store.
• Arranged and re-stocked clothing items and cleaned fitting rooms.
• Learned how to close the store and registers on weekends and week days.
