When I worked in a shaved ice food truck I enjoyed dealing with the customers and seemed to have a good rapport with them. I was expected to learn a variety of skills doing that job, from the basics of opening and closing, to making specialty frozen desserts, to working on new recipes. Working events on a shaved ice truck is very fast-paced with a lot of pressure to be both accurate, organized and courteous. I did well in this setting and enjoyed it.
I am enrolled in an accelerated learning track at my high school and, with a lot of hard work, have been able to maintain terrific grades.
I am eager to work and will bring the dedication, work-ethic, and problem solving skills that I have demonstrated at school, work opportunities, and extracurricular activities to my job.
Throughout the school year, I help neighbors with yard work, including weeding, blowing, cutting grass. No stranger to physical work.
I am currently a 16 year old sophomore at a Magnet school in Chicago called Whitney Young , where I maintain a 5.0 GPA, in AP classes. I turn 17 in October.
