• Receive and register complaints from buyers and/or sellers of logs and timber products in the local market and initiate an arbitration process to resolve disputes
• Periodically monitor the application of Ghana Standard Grading Rules in grading wood products by inspectors/graders
• Conduct periodic visits to wood processing mills, log depots, and other wood product stock markets
• Collaborate with the Area Manager to provide technical advice to stakeholders
• Chair the committee for disposal of confiscated lumber and report to the Area Manager
• Cooperate with the Area Manager to prepare Area office budgets for consideration by TIDD management
• Collaborate with the Area Manager to organize workshops and seminars and hold discussions on technical issues relating to trade specifications and disseminate Ghana Standard Grading Rules for logs and timber products as well as procedures to industry and private graders
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, mid-year, and yearly Area office reports
