Degradation of Tannery effluent assisted by Ultrasound

Here we have used advanced oxidation process technology for degradation. This process reduced the COD of the tannery effluent. This result suggests that ultrasound assisted degradation of tannery effluent without using any chemicals can be proposed and developed as treatment for tannery effluent.

• Manali Petrochemicals Limited (Manali), Had an opportunity to visit the plant with necessary protective measures knowing the working and various systems controlling the temperature differences in the plant. Here they produce various specialty Chemicals like propylene glycol, polyols, and propylene oxide.
• SV Chemicals (Thiruporur,Kanchipuram), Undergone full plant visit, Learnt about production of different types of Amino Acids.
• Chakravarthi Soap ( Puzhal Post,Chennai), Learnt about production of Detergents and Soap through the full plant visit.
• Sophisticated Analytical Instrument Facility : IIT-MADRAS, Had an opportunity to visit SAIF in IIT-MADRAS which is a major center for spectral measurements, molecular and crystal structure determination and materials characterization. This center provides data collection facility to scientific community for their advanced research studies.
