Supervise civilian support staff within the Administration Division and Fire Prevention Bureau.
Assume management responsibility in the financial planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing of fire department technology projects, capital projects, staffing proposals and business operations within the Fire Prevention Bureau.
Responsible for the development of department goals, objectives, and performance measures.
Perform analytical and management studies; review reports of findings, alternatives and recommendations; monitor developments related to fire operations, evaluate their financial impacts.
Represent the department to other divisions, departments, elected officials and outside agencies; coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, departments, outside agencies and organizations; respond and resolve difficult and sensitive citizen or staff inquiries and complaints.
Participate on a variety of City meetings; prepare reports, presentation and correspondence related to department activities.
