Pricing: - QNB offers innovative POS and e-commerce acquiring product services with blended commission rate to our merchants and the current pricing is having limited standard options
Business observes that Due to standard pricing offered to merchant, sustainable profitability could not be achieved
So to capitalize on the opportunity of charging dynamic rate based on card classifications of Payment schemes and enhance the acquiring profitability of QNB, business requested commissions based on card type details provided by schemes
Prime3 to Prime 4 Migration: To adopt the changing technology and as part of Internationalization QNB decide to migrate credit card system from Prime3 to Prime4
Newly designed product support latest Database, Front end and OS for server and also come with new enhanced features like JCB EMV support, RAC enabled, Payment free Holiday which fulfill business needs
Also involve in reconciliation of old and newly migrated system
Implementation of Inter Change Pricing system(IPS): QNB is largest acquirer of country and due to standard pricing of acquiring product QNB revenue sharing with scheme in the form of interchange Fee or Assessment Fee for Visa and MasterCard is very high
Vendor suggested and showcased the benefit of implementing IPS system to improve IRD values for MasterCard and Visa off US transactions
System is designed based on Interchange agreement between Payment schemes and bank
Multiple POS on Single Terminal:- The Objective project is to implement the multiple Application functionality in one single POS in order to accommodate multiple business requirement in the same POS terminals (like Installment plan, different Bill collections etc.) aside to the regular POS transactions which will certainly reduce Capex cost and increase the operational efficiency for merchants
POS application enhancement was done by third party Vendor
BOSC System Migration: MC Incoming file on MasterCard end point contain both Credit and debit card settlement Transaction and Credit Card system(Prime) having only Credit Card details
BOSC system was used to process Mc incoming file and generating two separate files for Credit and debit cards
In house system developed to process the MC file on Prime system generate debit card transactions files in Visa Base2 format
Tokenization(Issuer): QNB implemented Apple pay and Samsung pay to adopt the technology changes in the market and making cards payment more secure for customer
Customer was given option in mobile banking to tokenized the Visa and MasterCard and tokenized PAN is shared with scheme in integration with Thales interface
Thales API’s are integrated with QNB API to tokenized and providing sharing the info with scheme
PCI DSS Implementation:
The objective of the project is to get PCI DSS certificate for products (In-house /Our sourced) having Cardholder data(CHD) and Sensitive authentication data(SAD)
In initial discussion we involved all system Admin to identify the flow of card holder and Sensitive data in various system
All identified the Network domain for card holder and non-card holder system
Also identified the card holder system which are used on intranet and internet
After identification of all details PCI rule are implemented and enforced on systems
Kapiti File for Core Banking: Central bank reported issues in customer collection data provided by bank and to fix the issue we change credit card account creation process in equation and fee charge for customers
Also enabled system not to go over limit due to fee
Smart Installment and Payment Free holiday: To provide customer facility of converting any transaction into installment and applying for payment free holiday from internet banking
Other projects are VCN Card Solution of MasterCard for QNB Corporate Customers, Transit Model of Schemes for Qatar Rail, Card Digitalization of Card on MB/IB, Low interest offering, Payment Gate Way (settlement Process), Instant and Central Issuance, Auto Installment, middle ware integration.
