In both of these teaching experiences, I succeeded in doing the following:

• Created safe, nurturing environments of trust and respect.
• Maintained safe, clean, and organized classroom environments.
• Enforced classroom routines to keep students on schedule and operating at consistent levels.
• Attended in-service training and professional development courses to stay on top of policy and education changes.
• Involved parents in student education by cultivating strong relationships. Communicated with parents on a consistent basis, both collectively, and individually if and when needed.
• Taught students subject-specific material, learning strategies and social skills. Assessed progress towards goals and adjusted instructional techniques and content accordingly.
