Rural Development Manager/Specialist

USDA Rural Development
08.1999 - 05.2012

During this time with Rural Development, my title changed from Rural Development (RD) Manager to RD Specialist and back and forth due to changes in the administration.

The duties remained mostly the same except for human resources functions.

As RD Specialist and Manager, I was the loan officer who meet with the customers of volunteer fire departments, water and wastewater systems within our seven county service area.

As RD Manager, duties included annual performance reviews of the staff, meeting with local government representatives and organizations to discuss and promote the programs offered by Rural Development. Also gave presentations at events such as the annual Texas A & M Fire School, Brazos Valley COG meetings, TRWA conferences.
