Baptist Hospital East Cardiac Care Center nominated me for Nurse of the Year in my unit.   This award recognizes me as an outstanding nurse within the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  I was selected by my management and peers in the cardiac care center for my dedication and perfect attendance.  This Nursing Excellence award is one of the most prestigious awards and an honor to receive.  It was presented to me by our Kentucky Governor, Ernie Fletcher,  along with a banquet during the National Recognition Week for Nurses May 11th 2007 in Lexington Ky.  The silver framed certificate presented to me features a gold foil embossed seal with purple ribbons.
