Curriculum Design & Implementation
As a candidate for the Reading Language Arts and Social Studies Coordinator position, I bring hands-on experience across four grade levels (1st–5th) in both general and bilingual settings, along with a Master’s in Curriculum (specializing in Reading Instruction) to be completed in August 2024. My deep understanding of Bridgeport ISD’s needs is demonstrated through my collaborative work revising RLA unit templates, mentoring new teachers, and implementing innovative strategies—such as student-selected reading goals—that helped 80% of my first-grade students achieve year-end literacy benchmarks. With this foundation, I am eager to apply my expertise in curriculum design, data-driven instruction, and teacher support to advance Bridgeport ISD’s mission at the district level.
