As a parent educator I provided parent workshops on how to enhance reading and writing at home. A variety of activities were presented to parents so that they could use at home with their children during the summer. This was also an opportunity to increase parent's understanding of reading and writing process. This institute strengthen parent-child relationship, activities where incorporated where parent and child got the opportunity to interact. This two week parent institute took place every summer.
