Track Inspector

  • Inspect 27 miles of double Main Line tracks twice weekly. Repair minor issues and report major ones.
  • Plan work on switches and tracks as needed to keep in compliance with FRA standards.
  • Set up Rule 135 for all production gangs working on main lines
  • Input inspections into our tablets daily.
  • Use tools like level boards, string lines and rail wear gauges to identify changes in track structure.
  • Work with Sperry Test Cars, Holland Cars and Geometry Cars to identify weak areas in track structure

  • Manage Track Department personnel.
  • Conduct morning briefings and ensure safety standards and policies.
  • Organize all track work and truck fleet.
