Returned to my previous job after almost a year of travel nursing.

Work as a travel nurse in PACU at Alta Bates Medical Center - PACU in Berkeley, CA for Host Healthcare. Recover patients in phase 1, and float to ph 2 and pre-op. Work as a team member to effectively recover patients and support the unit.

• Delivered outstanding care to patients with various surgical procedures (inpatient and outpatient status) and managed care from treatment initiation through to transfer or discharge.

• Phase 1 recovery of surgical patients (Gen Surgery, ENT, Ortho, Gyne, Plastics), GI as well as Ph 2 and ECU (23 hr stay overnight). Float to pre-op to assist as needed.
• Preceptor to RN Residents and new employees to PACU.
• Worked as relief charge nurse when needed to promote best staffing needs.

• Recovered high acuity ph 1 (ICU) surgical patients. Discharge teaching to ph 2 patients and their families, and assist in pre-op per unit needs on a daily basis.
• Promoted quality of care by adhering to ASPAN standard at this award winning Level II Trauma Magnet teaching hospital.

• Worked as an agency nurse to care for patients in ICU (MICU, SICU, Neuro ICU) as well as Telemetry in Seattle and outlying area hospitals.

• Delivered professional care to patients with various respiratory diagnoses and managed care from treatment initiation through to completion, working closely with RT's, PT's and OT's.
• Work closely with Medical Director to optimize care to chronic, vent dependent patients waiting for placement to SNF.

• Monitored hemodynamics, respiratory and ventilator status on patients directly from the OR. (cardiac, vascular, neuro and trauma).
• Coordinated with healthcare staff from various disciplines to devise, carry out and manage personalized care plans to benefit patient health and recovery post-op.

• Managed and identified telemetry monitor readings and notified appropriate medical team members.
• Consulted and coordinated with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
