Accomplishments

  • Analyzed student data to develop ,design and implement a comprehensive math intervention class for students on an IEP that are two or more grade levels behind in math.
  • Collaborated with administration to align the progression of mathematics courses to the prerequisite courses needed for science courses. Previously 10th grade students were in a Geometry class and a Chemistry class. To be successful in chemistry, Algebra II should be a co-requisite.

  • Restructured the Resource academic support class to align with IEP goals . current academic classes and individual student needs. Previously, class was run as a study hall. New class provides instruction and academic support as well as supporting IEP and transition goals.

  • 25% of students on on my caseload, moved off their IEP and to a 504, due to academic achievement of IEP goals as well as non-qualification of services.
