I started my career at Pepperidge Farms as a general production worker. Here are some of the various positions I am trained on
Scaler
- Scaled raw ingredients accurate to make formula card
- Kept track of lot code traceability by documenting lot codes on paperwork
- Exercise proper judgement to make sure ingredients were not contaminated
- Maintained 5s by ensuring my area is always kept up with
- Maintained FEFO to ensure ingredients did not expire
Packer
- Set up machine with the right packing bags, and clips
- Cased bread into baskets at a rate of almost 60 loaves per minute
- Measured the height of bread every hour to make sure bread was up to quality standards
Packaging Coordinator
- Oversaw the whole packaging line
- Calculated the amount of supplies my team needed for the entire day and manually pulled it from warehouse
- Setup auto caser machines and made sure all the information is accurate
- Preformed metal detector checks every hour
- Documented discrepancies in underweight bread as well as reported these findings to my supervisor
- Worked with shipping department to make sure they had the right amounts of bread for fresh and freezer loads
- Assisted on all the positions when anybody needed help
Shipping Dock Worker
- Receive finished product back from production and keep track of it by committing product to SAP
- Unloaded trailers containing empty basket loads and supply to production lines
- Load pallets in trailers using forklift
- Load baskets in trailers using clamp truck
- Spot check every 32 baskets to ensure the clip with best by date are accurate
