• Regularly interacted with the attending doctor and discussed relevant clinical topics related to the cases I observed at the bedside and clinics and also gave oral and powerpoint presentations on important medical articles and journals.
• Associated with a team of Interns, Residents and Medical students to study EKGs, echocardiograms, X-rays and indications and contraindications of cardiac stress testing.
• Expertized in one-on-one clinical communication with patients, particularly in helping them in understanding medical diagnoses and current plans of action, including the conveying of bad news while supporting the patient and his/her family in coping with it by providing empathetic care and guiding them further through the process of shared health care decision making.

• This clinical rotation was a well-rounded experience because it included our active participation in clinical case interpretations, practice using guidelines and evidence-based study protocols to support clinical diagnoses and case management, discussions on articles and journals, power point presentations on important academic topics, and so on.
• I presented a power point presentation on recent ADA guidelines on anti-diabetic drugs.
• We saw several clinically relevant day-to-day patient presentations at the clinic and offered our independent clinical assessment and case management strategies.
• The performance evaluation and corrective comments on the independent clinical case interpretations aided in improving our medical knowledge and reasoning capacity.

• This rotational experience provided a strong, advanced academic platform that tested our understanding of fundamental concepts and clinical judgment, team participation, and taught us the importance of applying evidence-based clinical study results that established the principles of disease management.
• We examined and contrasted the constraints, problems, benefits, and outcomes of numerous clinical trials that have transformed the face of modern medicine in terms of management of diseases such as Asthma and COPD, Hypertension, Heart Failure, Dysrhythmia, DVT and PE, and so on.
• We also saw several unusual clinical manifestations of skin rash, bite wounds, aortic stenosis, Parkinsons plus syndromes, and so on.

• This was my first hands-on clinical experience in the United States, and it helped me comprehend the operation of the health-care system in the US.
• Obtained a thorough medical history, did physical exam on patients, presented cases to the attending, and actively participated in further case discussions.
• Acquired proficiency in communicating with patients and recording their health data in the EMR.
• We discussed about journals and cases on topics such as cocaine-induced hypokalemic paralysis, SGLT-2 inhibitors in diabetes and heart failure, post-COVID complications, and so on.
• During my rotation, I saw cutaneous T cell lymphoma, DI-George syndrome, Familial Adenomatous Polyposis Coli with ca colon etc.
• I also learned to manage common clinical diseases such as hypertensive disorders, DM and screening for its complications, and chronic ailments such as CHF, CKD, COPD, and so on.

• Admitted and followed up on patients, also participated in regular rounds with physicians & specialists
• Carried out minor surgical operations to treat acute patient injuries and diseases.
• Appropriately referred patients to specialists after providing emergency care, developed emergency treatment plans for predicted problems and future occurrences, and provided brief counseling on the need for regular follow-ups and compliance to prescribed treatment and prevention.
