Saoirse Bolger

As a result of my residency within Ireland, South Africa, England, and America, I have come into contact with a vast variety of cultures and people. I have spent my life adjusting while I grow and consequently I am extremely receptive and adaptable. I have excelled in Math and Science throughout my life but have also recently found a grave appreciation for English. In particular, I am very fond of constructing and analyzing poetry, but also have been called quite the bibliophile. I plan to continue my pursuit in English and apply it to my other interests, such as french. I've experienced various types of learning environments and continuously find myself surprised and wanting to experience more.

• Near the period of my relocation from England to America, I was invited to and attended a math masterclass at the University of Bath for my understanding and evident effort for the subject.
• Also near the end of my residency in England, due to my effort in all of my school subjects, I was invited on a trip to the esteemed Marlborough College.
• While this was a little back in my past, when I was in South Africa I provided aid and donations to an animal shelter in South Africa rather frequently up until I moved. The reason this has not continued since was due to the lack of a similar establishment near where I lived in England, and due to Covid-19 sparking very soon after I moved to America, I wasn't able to explore the area to find one.
• I have been published on winglessdreamer.com for a poem in their anthology, Wings of Wonder.
• I have received an honorable mention, alongside a certificate of appreciation, for my entry into the Fuqway-Varina Arts festival.
