- I have been a toddler teacher for almost four years. The kids learn their colors, numbers, shapes, and animals. The sounds that the animals make. How to be gentle with their friends. How to use their words, as well as some sign language, such as please, more, eat, thank you, and stop. We do several activities a day, as well as read, and sing songs. Our daily activities include circle time, art, STEM, literacy, along with music and movement. I have come to notice that they need gross motor and fine motor skills as well. They also need a lot of love, and to just feel safe.
