  • This role offered me completion of a yearlong residency program and certificate in chemotherapy administration. I provide care to all types of oncology patients, those just diagnosed and some at the end of life.
  • Utilized critical thinking skills to prioritize nursing interventions based on patients'' acuity levels and individual needs.
  • Administered medications safely according to hospital policies while closely monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions requiring intervention such as PCAs, chemotherapy, heparin drips, and ketamine.
  • Precept new grad nurses through their 4 week orientation. I was able to precept two new nurses and help orient them to the unit and help strengthen their skills enough to be comfortable being alone.
