Multi-hyphenate theatre artist, cultural worker, and creative consultant with 8+ years of experience in content creation and relational culture implementation. I build spaces of trust and transparency with my collaborators that lead to stronger communication, driving innovative storytelling with an anti-oppressive approach. A deep investment in social liberation for all people is what drives me to seek new challenges and grow professionally to better elevate the creatives I support and serve the audiences and communities I represent.
Writer, director, casting director, and post-show facilitator for The Shape of Trust: an original theater production based on City employees' stories of racial harassment and discrimination, and institutional racism collected via Race and Social Justice Initiative (RSJI) surveys, Citywide Workforce Equity Planning and Advisory Committee, Coalition of Affinity Groups Against Racial Harassment, and other City employee groups and news media. Independent Creative Consultant as part of Artists Up, a collaborative effort between the City of Seattle Office of Arts & Culture, ArtsWA and 4Culture to expand capacity and networks for artists in our region. The program aims to support artists of color with resources, services and programs.
Consulted in the creation of a Symposia series related to BIPOC undergraduate mentorship to be hosted by the School of Drama (SoD) and served as Facilitator and Project Manager for each of those events.
Developed a 12 week lesson plan combining cultural work, storytelling, and civic responsibility pedagogy into a class entitled "An Intro and Invitation to Activism in Your Practice". Facilitated two cohorts of 10-15 people in symposia, lecture, and creative projects inspired by relational culture principles.
Curated Intiman Theatre's 2017-2018 main-stage season, focusing on the themes of intersectional identities and anti-racist narratives. Joined the Board of Trustees in 2018-2019 as the EDI Co-Chair.
Mentored an ensemble of 23 BIPOC, LGBTQIA, and geographically diverse emerging artists in the creation of their original, auto-biographical solo shows and produced a showcase of their work over two years.
