- I was hired for this job directly through the city of Greenwood. My duties included supervising patrons as they attended the park to ensure that they were not in danger. I was required to watch my designated zone and ensure that patrons were safe and abiding by the rules. In order to become a lifeguard, I participated in a water safety, CPR, and AED class.
- I was required to keep up with my duties, as I attended in-services on Saturday mornings and Tuesday nights. These classes taught me how to interact with patrons and other workers, while also reiterating the required knowledge of how to tend to those in medical distress.
- I also taught swim lessons for young kids. I was required to never let a child out of my sight while teaching them basic in-water skills at different levels.
- Overall, this specific job required 30+ hours a week, discipline, and life-saving skills. It is a true reflection of what I am capable of.
