Collaborate closely with treatment team to appropriately coordinate client care services. Interact with clinic staff and external resources such as school or community personnel. Consult with psychiatrists about client medication changes, issues with medication compliance, and efficacy of medication(s). Refer clients to other programs and community agencies to enhance treatment processes. Administer psychotropic medications via intra-muscular injection. Process lab orders and review lab results. Crisis intervention via telephone as well as in person. Communicate any policy and/or procedure changes to staff members. Conduct monthly support staff meetings. Approve/edit staff timecards. Worth with clients to resolve problems/complaints. Work closely with department manager to ensure State laws and regulations are being followed.
Admit and discharge patients. Patient education/discharge teaching. Medication administration. Assess patients for withdrawal signs and symptoms using approved withdrawal scales and then treat according to standing protocols. Deliver report to on-call physicians regarding new admissions to the facility. Daily staff meetings to collaborate care for the patients. Receive telephone orders from on-call physicians and implement orders.
