• Responsible for supervision of Maternal and Child Health Initiatives staff - Maternal and Child Health Liaison/Supervisor, Maternal Child Health Initiatives Program Manager, BCHD (Baltimore City Health Department) Lead Pregnancy Engagement Specialist, BHB Community Health Worker and Thrive by Three project staff.
• Responsible for oversight of the MCH Central Triage System to ensure optimal care coordination of pregnant and postpartum women and infants.

• Co-faciliates monthly B'more for Healthy Babies BabyStats meeting.
• Serves as point of contact for the BHB Home Visiting; Healthy Families America, Baltimore City Health Department, and Healthy Start Home Visiting Programs

• Responsible for supervision of Maternal and Child Health Initiatives staff i.e. one Maternal and Child Health Liaison, two Safe Sleep Coordinators and five Community Health Advocates.

• Provided oversight for the MCH Central Triage System to ensure optimal care coordination of pregnant and postpartum women and infants

• Worked collaboratively with Judy Center staff leadership creating a referral system between the Judy Center and HCAM to ensure that pregnant women are re-connected and referred to HCAM for prenatal services and other community-based resources.

• Prepare, Review, and Submit quarterly and monthly reports to the Baltimore City Health Department, Family League and other grant Funders as required and requested

• Participated in new hire orientation and onboarding curriculum highlighting the role of Centralized Intake System and B’More for Healthy Babies (BHB) Initiatives. Responsible for facilitating routine training to the MCH Outreach team and other HCAM/BHCD Programs as needed.

• Represented HealthCare Access Maryland and BHB in Provider outreach to regional MCH providers explaining the services of the Central Intake System and BHB Initiatives.

• Attended and participated in routine meetings as assigned but not limited to BCHD-BabyStat, Fetal Infant Mortality Review, Child Fatality Review, and MCH staff meetings.

• Provided outreach strategies and coaching to the MCH Outreach team. Support Standard Operating Procedures for best practice in outreach, communication, interventions, and documentation.

• Served as point of contact for the BHB Home Visiting; Healthy Families America, Baltimore City Health Department, and Healthy Start Home Visiting Programs

• Participated in local/state meetings, conferences, community meetings

• Manage State Child Fatality Review Program, State Fetal and Infant Mortality Review Program, and Child Abuse Medical Providers Initiative. Responsible for local CFR and FIMR teams in 24 jurisdictions.
• Responsible for coordinating child abuse prevention efforts within MCHB. I oversee local health department grants supporting SQI (Surveillance and Quality Initiatives) programs and contracts supporting CHAMP.
• With the OQI Epidemiology team, support the work of the CDC SUID Case Registry grant.
• Responsible for representing MCHB at policy-related meetings and initiatives, including our work with the State Council on Child Abuse and Neglect Health Equity Workgroup, the Core State Violence and Injury Prevention Program steering committee, the Department of Social Services SUD Workgroup, the Behavioral Health Administration’s Suicide Surveillance group, the CDC SUID Registry Health Equity Workgroup, the Maternal and Child Health Bureau’s Strategic Planning Committee, and local CFR and FIMR team meetings.
• Coordinate the development of two annual legislative reports, for CFR and CHAMP.
• Support the Office of Support Services in responding to legislative inquiries related to Fatality Review and CHAMP and other MCH programs as needed, as well as supporting OSS during the legislative session by providing analysis of pending legislation; including fiscal notes.

• Coordinated LAUNCH (SAMHSA) activities in Greater Newark focused on improving the health and well-being of children and their families in four high-need communities in Essex County, NJ.
• Chaired Essex LAUNCH Advisory Council, responsible for development of work plan and environmental scan (community needs assessment).
• Recruited pediatric physicians to implement developmental screenings within practices in urban Essex County identified via AAP partnership.
• Planned and organized a Breastfeeding Symposium, bringing together Essex County providers to learn about breastfeeding as a protective factor in infant mental health and buffer against toxic stress.
• Represented Project LAUNCH in countywide workgroups and councils.
• Developed Project LAUNCH evaluation plan with local and cross-site evaluation teams.
• Coordinated infant mental health trainings for early child educators, with a goal of building a workforce eligible for NJ Infant Mental Health Endorsement.
