I'm an experienced educator and innovator with 18 years of instructional development in k-12 public school arts education. I have a Masters in Human Resources with a focus in Educational Leadership. I am passionate about working with others toward a common goal. As an educator, I have worked extensively to apply my skills in a collaborative environment, create and implement engaging curriculum, and maintain flexibility while constantly working to improve my craft. Throughout the course of my career, I have always gravitated toward new and challenging opportunities. I am interested in shifting into a new role where I can use my skills to continue partnering with learners in a unique way. My flexibility as a teacher of five different subjects will translate well into contributing to a wide array of roles in a different environment. I am adaptable, motivated, and enthusiastic about using effective communication through instructional design to help improve learning beyond the classroom setting.

  • Developed and implemented a student mentoring program from the ground up along with a team of 20+ staff and community members
  • Advised the Fine Arts Department of Calvert County Public Schools in my role as a team member for Secondary Visual Arts on the Fine Arts Advisory Board in our district
  • Created and presented professional development based on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion through my role on Northern High School's Equity Team in virtual, in-person, and hybrid environments
  • Encouraged and facilitated the Performing and Visual Arts Club (PAVA) at Northern High School to help students foster their own leadership potential and implement activities and problem-solving activities that they value related to the arts (visual, fine, and performing)
