This research was focused on the synthesis of Diphenhydramine metabolites, and then feeding the metabolite and drug to S. bullata to determine any developmental changes.

• Conducted literature research to produce and modify methods and procedures related to the organic synthesis process
• Participated in extra training to refine and improve organic chemistry skills
• Interpreted test results and determine the need for retesting and method validation
• Use of GCMS, IR spectra, and NMR

This research was focused on the synthesis of Avobenzone with the goal of modifying the structure in order to make the molecule more environmentally friendly.
