As a claim specialist, I am tasked with managing many homeowners claims at a time, often as many as 50. I take claims from the initial call to completion of repairs to their home. The process includes establishing customer contact, evaluating and applying coverage, evaluating the property onsite, writing an estimate, reconciling a contractor’s estimate, and issuing payment. I am in charge of all coverage lines including dwelling, contents, and additional living expenses. As a specialist, I handle almost exclusively very complex large homeowners losses, often total losses. I frequently evaluate for subrogation and place responsible parties on notice. I work closely with contractors, mitigation vendors, attorneys, and my peers and leadership to facilitate a seamless and efficient claims process. I am always willing to go above and beyond for policyholders to ensure the best experience in an otherwise difficult situation. I am licensed as an adjuster in many states to further my reach in assisting customers. I am very experienced in all Xactware products including Xactimate, XactContents, and XactAnalysis.

During my time as an agent team member, I’ve acted as the claim liaison. I initially started as a licensed

sales representative and was promoted to office manager after two years. I am tasked with creating estimates for homeowners policies, explaining coverage limits and how they apply, and assisting policyholders through the claim process. This includes navigating the entire claim process, evaluating and reconciling estimates, and reviewing and applying coverage. I am the first line of contact for our policyholders in the office. I am experienced in communicating with policyholders who may not be well versed in insurance and need extra assistance in understanding the process or those policyholders that may be upset. I am licensed in all lines of insurance (Property and Casualty/Life and Health) as well as licensed as a notary in California. I also hold adjuster licenses in many states.

I am fluent in using Xactware (Xactimate, XactContents, and Xactanalysis) software.
