Summary

Teaching and mentoring college-aged students using a personalized, energetic, and creative teaching style is one of the ways I use my talents to build the Kingdom of God and I love it! My extensive experience teaching both Institute and courses in the English Department at BYU-Idaho has always been centered around the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I can add a unique perspective to the Religion Department because of my combined experience teaching Institute, teaching as an adjunct English Professor, and being a mother of 7 children who are ages 13-25. My most valued role is being a mother, mentor, teacher, and friend to my children, and this role enhances my teaching and my relationships with my students. I use the Book of Mormon as a text in all of my writing courses to teach about writing, analysis, and good research.

My children and my students know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings me my greatest fulfillment and joy and I adore sharing it with them in loving, nurturing, creative ways.
