Dynamic early career professional who moved to the US from Ontario Canada in August of 2024 for graduate school, actively pursuing dual licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Limited License Psychologist in Michigan. • Western University, London, ON, Intern, Teaching Assistant for Spanish 1030, 01/01/24, 04/30/24, Responsibilities include attending and assisting with all lectures and tutorials, responding to students' emails throughout the week, assisting with grading of coursework, holding office hours, among others. This is an unpaid internship that is available to the most high-achieving undergraduate students in the Spanish department.
• Kids Help Phone (Crisis Text Line), Remote, ON, Volunteer Crisis Responder, 11/01/22, 06/30/24, Responsibilities included being available for a minimum of 4 hours per week (self-scheduled, shifts available 24/7), to take messages from youth and adults across Canada who are in crisis. Completed 36 hours of training prior to volunteering, preparing them to handle a variety of concerns, including but not limited to; abuse, neglect, substance abuse, self-harm, suicide, bullying, and eating disorders. Logged over 250 hours and handled nearly 300 conversations.

Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1

Working on a Masters Thesis on "medical trauma"; focusing on PTSD-like symptoms in pediatric epilepsy patients and other similar pediatric cases; to evaluate if some Trauma and Stressor Related Disorders are being misdiagnosed as Mood Disorders (depression, anxiety, etc).

Wrote a curriculum for a group therapy process for adults with seasonal affective disorder (SAD) using CBT-SAD, a form of Cognitive Behavioral Group Therapy designed and tested specifically for treating patients with the condition. The curriculum has not been published as of yet but is ready to implement upon request.
