Medical-Surgical Stepdown Unit

• Provides care to patients transferred from ICU, OR, and ED; experienced in low to high acuity level of patients, including renal transplant patients.
• Continuous monitoring/management of cardiac drips.
• Management of patients with tracheostomies/ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and HFNC.
• Utilized critical thinking skills to prioritize nursing interventions based on patients' acuity levels and individual needs.
• Conducted thorough patient assessments to identify changes in condition, promptly notifying physicians and initiating appropriate interventions when necessary.

• Responsible for care of up to 20 patients of various acuity levels.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and point of care testing.
