Despite working in education for nearly two decades, I am continually looking for opportunities to stretch myself and learn new methodologies and pedagogies. I believe in research-backed practices and data-driven instruction. My content knowledge in each of my domains is superb, and I enjoy teaching French, Math, and English equally.

Work History

Math and French Teacher, Math Dept. Chair

14 Years
Classical Academy High School | 08.2012 - Current

Piloted and ran the French language program at the high school, adapting curriculum for and teaching levels one through four. Used TPRS methods, among other strategies to teach the four domains of language acquisition.

Piloted the summer Europe trip for the three high schools in the district and led six trips (and counting) to countries throughout Western and Southern Europe.

Founded the CAHS Academic League team; led Varsity program to division championships in multiple years; acted as head coach over three levels.

Taught various math classes, including pre-algebra, Math 1 (algebra and geometry), Math 1 support, and SAT Prep (also taught ELA components).

Attended numerous Professional Development sessions geared toward project-based and student-centered learning of mathematics.

Served as Math Department chair from 2020 onward.

Worked with the school's intervention coordinator to design a support class for incoming freshmen to allow all students to access grade-level math. This course was then implemented at all three high schools in the charter network, and data shows it has been an effective tool.
