  • Trained and coached teachers on effective teaching techniques in the area of Literacy, classroom management strategies, and behavior modification.
  • Led and presented Professional Development on the Science of Reading in Secondary Schools, Phonemic Awareness in Secondary Intervention, Creating Community Partnerships, Alternative Literature, Universal Design for Learning, Literacy Strategies, Crucial Conversations, Inquiry Research, Lagging Skills Inventory, Collaboration, Argument Writing, and ThinkCERCA and many more. Some of this work supported 80% of 7th & 8th graders who ended the 2023-2024 school year at or above the benchmark in our district screener.
  • I created Professional Development Training that included Educlimber, Fastbridge, NewsELA, ThinkCERCA, various intervention resources, high-leverage literacy strategies, Differentiation, UDL, iPad and Chromebook implementation, and Mindfulness. I also provide multiple interventions and supports in Literacy, Writing, Academic behaviors, and executive functions.
  • Co-creator of Growing Minds Instructional tools and behavior supports, which improved students' executive function skills. This resource supports mental health, executive functions, and the students and teachers who would benefit from it. This resulted in creating a solid resource for Skill Engagement. Piloted by 30 students and received positive feedback. The following year, it was implemented for Specially Designed instruction and Tier 2 behavior interventions for 140 students in our district.
  • Defined and enforced student academic achievement standards in line with district goals and objectives through the content lead roll, as well as intervention and curriculum adoption.
  • Teaches various classes to Grades 7-12 students, including American Film, World & American Literature, Speech Communications, Digital Media 1 -3, Journalism 1-3, Poetry and Creative Writing, Reading and Writing Intervention, Careers and Communication, and Middle School ELA. Instructor for CAPP, Credit Recovery, Reader's Theater, and Writing Intervention: Ignited the creation of various academic and behavior support classes.
  • I was the coordinator of ACT Learning Sessions, which resulted in 73.81% of students increasing their ACT scores, with an average increase of 6.27 points.
  • Collaborative researcher in secondary literacy, designing and assisting in creating and realigning over ten courses. And actively utilized through coaching the Co-teacher using the co-serve and co-plan model.
