Professional Accomplishments

  • Assisted Affiliate research sites in preparing for a research base audit. The audit did not identify any eligibility or data quality issues.
  • Participated in the development of the Early Feeding Protocol for gynecologic oncology patients having a hysterectomy. The outcome of the project was a decreased patient length of stay without an increase in complications or a decrease in patient satisfaction.
  • Led a quality improvement project to increase patient satisfaction on the inpatient Oncology units. Fairview recognized our unit for our successful outcomes.
  • Authored the Nursing Policy and Procedure for the care of the inpatient unencapsulated and encapsulated radiation patient.
  • Participated in a hospital-wide group that developed a RN mentor job description and competencies. Outcomes included a plan to increase accountability that led to the enactment of a pay differential.
  • Developed the Oncology Unit competencies for all job classes.
