In Senior year of high school at Cooper I took an AP Environmental Science course where for about 3-4 weeks we raised Painted Lady Butterflies (Vanessa cardui) for eggs to adults We then released them Fall 2020
In the Freshwater Biology course, I learned to prepare and label invertebrate specimens, including recording the date and location, and identifying each specimen from the kingdom to the family level using reference materials
I also studied methods for During the Range and Wildland Plants course, I participated in field trips to Abilene State Park, Big Bend, and Corpus Christi State Park, Lake Fort Phantom, and local ranches around Abilene
