  • Licensed on RC forklift, stock picker, and tugger, and used at least one of these pieces of equipment daily. Often times, transitioning from one to another, performing multiple job duties in one shift, as needed.
  • Scanning store/product labels and pulling product at various heights and locations with picker.
  • Verifying location, labeling, and pulling cartons, and placing them in carts provided.
  • Putting locations on hold if not enough inventory available for order, inventory is off, or if location is hazardous to pull from, ie tipped pallet.
  • Reinstating stray items back into system. Maintaining inventory and up or down adjusting to reflect physical numbers.
  • Was part of cycle count group and performed various specialty functions, using Symbol hand held scanners with company software.
  • Pulling from and putting into bulk locations, using RC forklift with onboard scanner and computer with company software for this assignment.
  • Safely lifting, pushing, and pulling, sometimes rather heavy, merchandise on daily basis.
  • Operated tugger to pull up to 5 carts full of product in chain to various locations and departments. Being alert to your surroundings is critical, as you are pulling lot of weight and must be aware of everything and everyone around you. Good wide-turn skills are extremely important on this vehicle.
  • Most functions were production-based and fast-paced, requiring certain rate of speed, fluidity, and accuracy.
  • Motivation, initiative, and team-oriented approach and consideration are essential to these functions. What we do individually, influences group as a whole, and in turn, success of company.

  • Numbers, numbers, numbers...This job was all about hitting 100% or better.
  • Very physical...Fast paced, with lot of heavy lifting.
  • Use of headset to receive information about particular types of "trips" you're assigned. You're recited a group of numbers and repeat back couple of digits in sequence assigned for that day, verbally confirm quantity requested, and adjust accordingly, if short.
  • Licensed and trained on QPR, (stands for "quick pick remote"), which is vehicle with rear forks that can be raised or lowered to place or remove material from storage location. Equipped with push button hand remote that allowed to walk along with equipment and stack on pallets stowed behind it. Daily inspection of vehicle performed daily before operation.
  • Free stacking merchandise, usually for double, 70 cube pallet, trip.
  • Multitasking, time management, attention to detail, and motivation are necessary skills and attributes to becoming fluid and adept in this position.
  • In rotation with other employees taking turns running pallet wrapping machines and then removing wrapped pallets and loading them onto trucks with matching store numbers.
  • Also in rotation for task of seeking out items that were missing from orders that were about to go out on trucks. Perhaps location was empty when pulling for order, but had been replenished with enough time to get it out to store.

  • Prepared surfaces and surrounding areas for painting using scrapers, sandpaper, tape, and other materials.
  • Provided supervisor with daily status report on all job tasks and workers' duties.
  • Primed, painted, varnished and lacquered walls and surfaces.

  • Protected surfaces from damage and spills by using drop cloths prior to and during painting.
  • Climbed scaffolding, staging, ladders, and planks to reach work area surfaces and observed safety protocols to prevent falls. Used scissor lift to travel to and from any areas throughout factory that were too high for ladder to reach.
  • Prepared trim, walls and ceilings for painting by cleaning, smoothing, and priming.
  • Evaluated completed work for quality and adherence to standards and client requirements.
  • Peeling or chipping paint is important to stay on top of in food production setting. There are stricter building compliance standards to uphold that are enforced by OSHA, FDA, EPA, and USDA. Therefore, full-time painters, or in this case, painter, as I was only one at that time.
  • Worked evenings to avoid any unnecessary production interference or risk of food contamination.
  • Painted all safety lines and railings throughout facility
  • Patience, steady hand, and attention to detail really come into play to be successful in this role.
