Seeking a challenging role as a small animal general practitioner that leverages my clinical expertise, exceptional client communication skills, and leadership experience to provide comprehensive and compassionate healthcare for pets, while fostering collaborative relationships with both clients and the veterinary team.
Medical: Thorough physical exam, diagnostic interpretation (radiographs, ultrasound, bloodwork and urinalysis), wellness and preventative medicine, puppy/kitten first visits, comprehensive case management including: endocrine diseases (diabetes, hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, cushings, addisons), allergies (environmental, food), acute and chronic GI disease, cardiac disease, acute and chronic orthopedic conditions, pain management and prevention, senior pet care and quality of life. FNA, TFAST/AFAST, Ultrasound-guided cytocentesis and needle aspirates, dental radiograph evaluation.
Surgical: Spays, neuters including cryptorchid, laparoscopic spays and neuters, mass removals, wound repair, drain placement, abdominal explore, splenectomy, GI and liver biopsies, enterotomy, resection and anastomosis, cystotomy, enucleation, hematoma repair, punch biopsies, foxtail removals/wound explore, general anesthesia induction and management.
Emergency/Urgent Care: Management of critical patients with trauma, toxin exposure, and life-threatening conditions. Assess and prioritize cases in a fast-paced environment. Administer emergency medications and interventions to stabilize patients in distress (Heart failure, seizures, heat stroke, endocrine emergency, acute abdomen, respiratory crisis, anaphylaxis).
Communication: Effectively communicate medical conditions, treatment options, and post-operative care to pet owners. Build trust and rapport with clients, establishing strong connections and welcoming owner collaboration for their pet's healthcare. Work effectively with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient patient care. Maintaining detailed and up-to-date medical records, ensuring continuity of care, clarity, and ongoing plan.
