• HXP Humanitarian Work: This last summer I worked with teenage and college-aged kids doing humanitarian work in Africa, providing peer support while helping construct a hospital and will be doing more humanitarian work this summer. Worked with teens everyday and was in charge of them and the project.
• Student Representative Council: While at BYUI, I was a part of the Student Representative Council. We recruited, took student surveys, and represented the student body to the administration.
• Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints: I served a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Cape Verde Praia mission speaking Portuguese. I lived in Cape Verde for a year and a half.

Of her coursework, I watched Sarai teach a 20-minute mini-lesson on a grammar principle to her classmates. Sarai taught on appositives and in designing her lesson she effectively applied the theoretical principles she'd been taught in the class. She sequenced activities well to provide the appropriate scaffolding and support for students, and she helped them apply the grammar principle to their own writing in a way that helped that concept stick for students.
