My Story

  • I am the middle child. I have an older brother and a younger brother. I am the only daughter in my family. Both of my parents are immigrants from Mexico. They moved here to give my siblings and I a better future. My parents always stressed the importance of family and to always care for others. Growing up, my parents put me in as many extracurriculars as possible. I always had an activity to do after school. I was in girl scouts, I was on the Decatur Swim Team until seventh grade, and I learned to play many instruments. In all these activities I have learned to be with people and help everyone around me. I want to continue to help those around me in my future career. Above everything else though, my mom always made sure that our faith was the most important thing. I truly believe that everything I have, and everything I have been able to achieve has been because God has allowed it. God has also allowed me to go through many struggles that have let me become a better person. I hope that I can be successful and keep helping people around me.
