Circulation Desk: Perform multiple duties required with Circulation Desk functions, including collecting fines, patron records management, maintaining circulation systems, program promotion, and various clerical duties.
Programming: Design and implement educational free programming for the Children’s Library. Including the creation of the American Girl Club, StoryWalk @Beatty Park, Downtown StoryWalks, Take and Make Projects, and Say Yes to the Book Dress. Responsible for the creation of programs, advertising, educational components, and use of the program to further library services and targeted community impact.
Outreach: Adapted and successfully implemented the StoryWalk @ Beatty Park and the StoryWalk @The Nutcracker Village. The Nutcracker draws 50,000 visitors and which leads to a marked increase in program attendance, circulation, and outreach. Coordinated with several staff members/ business owners to create a well-rounded program that mutually benefited both the Library and other community organizations.
Grant writing: Identified, researched, and wrote several grant applications to support programs. Received a fully funded $5,137 grant for the permanent installation of the StoryWalk @Beatty Park.
Financial: Responsible for the weekly system-wide cash count. Included keeping accurate totals of coin-operated machines/ donations/ and fines and fees income, generating weekly reports and deposits.
