Research Experience

  • "Epinephrine Degradation”, Literature review, Chemical Research Communication, HPLC (mobile phase creation), and Modeling environment of stress. Ongoing since September 2018 to June 2020 at Southern Oregon University, under guidance of Dr. Gregory Miller and Dr. Steven Petrovic. A two-year research project that starts as literature review and moves into the lab to explore the stability of epinephrine in an EpiPen. Research currently has led to five PowerPoint presentations, a literature review paper, a research proposal, method creation, and experimentation.
  • "Identification of Epinephrine Degradation Products", Literature research for Southern Oregon University Internship under the guidance of Dr. Steven Petrovic. The length of the internship was June 2020-August 2020. This research was being conducted and published in peer-reviewed journal to allow more in-depth analysis of the breakdown pathways of epinephrine as it relates to EpiPen shelf life ( Anderson, S. Identifying the Breakdown Pathways of Epinephrine. SOU McNair Scholars J. 2021, 17, 5-13).
