My current job is a bit different. Here I’m a machine operator now, but I also operate rider jacks, cherry picker and Reach Truck. I started as an Order Puller in December of 2022. This whole job runs on productivity. So when I first started I had to build pallets for shipments and also reach my target mark. Which was 1,140 piece counts in a day. In other words that’s how many products were to be scanned thru SAP and counted by the end of my shift for a 100%. I was power player a few times here, achieving over 110% or more weekly. I got promoted to Reach Operations so I do a lot of up-stocking and down stocks and put aways for the facility. I also unloaded Inbounds and loaded Outbounds on the dock area for trailers when needed. I also do physical inventory counts. Going from the 1st level to 6th level racks counting pallets making sure everything is accurate and matching the corporate system. I’ve helped others who were new, train on their equipment and teach them how to construct/build pallets. We ship product directly to Home Depot. We are their biggest supplier when it comes down to Paint production ( Behr Paint ). We service all of Home Depots on the East Coast from Maine to North Carolina. We are their main Distribution Center on the East Coast. I also obtain OSHA License/Certification for the equipments I operate. Approved by Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

I was refereed by another individual to come work at this location. The company was a third party, we worked along side with Restaurant Depot. I was given the opportunity to work there as a receiving manager located in Farmingdale off of route 110. Here my job was to mange and supervise workers while physically unload trailers obtaining a variety of material/product. I was in charge of accurate counts, payslips for drivers, paperwork and submitting documents into system. I had to make sure everything was locked up and organized before leaving the facility and everyone was punched out. Money or checks were counted and collected every Thursday or Fridays by my superiors. So everything had to be filed and accurate during my time here.

I started in the Meat Department packaging and labeling product and placing them on the counter and shelves. I was doing that for about 6-7 months then I was offered a new position to run the receiving area at this same location. My job was to unloaded trucks, receive shipments, count accurate delivery counts and submit it into the SAP system and then file it into paperwork. Along the way I also received my first license/certification for forklift with Ferrari Driving School during that time. I also organized specific shipments by their department. So everything was placed exactly where it was needed.
