I would like to expand my knowledge of the culinary world from a different viewpoint and make an impact in peoples lives through food. To be able work in a fun, supportive environment and to be able to grow and thrive along with a business.
Almost 15 years of customer service/client care relations in the veterinary world has taught me how to handle just about any situation that could possibly come up. As a result, I learned that it wasn't about treating pets and making them healthy again, it was all about people. Since then, I have done a variety of food related jobs including cake decorating, retail sales and management. I expanded on my knowledge of people and went on to run and manage a small, family owned lunch restaurant and European specialty store. Learning how to judge situations in an instant and acting on those judgements is what made me the strong, confident and outgoing person I am today. I dealt with a wide variety of customers as well as distributors and learned that human relations is the most important aspect of running a business. I would like to be able to scale up my knowledge of the restaurant world and culinary arts. Finding the perfect place to do so might be the hardest part of that plan.
