Responsibilities:
❖ Process shipments – call trucks, enter data into the computer, print bills of lading, address labels, prep
packing slips, and confirm items shipped
❖ Bar Coding Requirements
❖ Coordinate shipments with Working Coordinator and Ashtabula Dept. for combined shipments (Daimler,
Paccar, etc.)
❖ Take the initiative to be actively involved in the Shipping Report (Look ahead)
❖ Notify truck lines of pick-ups and confirm shipments
❖ Generate Bills of Lading.
❖ Verify that all paperwork from the packer is complete and together.
❖ Issue Export Paper for Commercial Invoices of Foreign (E) shipments and file
❖ Check emails, reprint packing label, and communicate to packers & Working Coordinator what is needed.
❖ Stay up to date with customer-specific software
❖ Maintain Customer Concerns Log
❖ Training Employees who fill in during absence/vacations (all software updates and changes)
❖ Proof of Deliveries, Tracing Shipments, and call for quotes
❖ Make labels
❖ Coordinates with Working Supervisor to respond to Sales with the HOT List and email them the answers
