Provided safety and assistance to all members through supervision, cleaning, maintenance, and regulation of the aquatic center. Duties included:

• Active Scanning of multiple pool areas as well as the sauna/hot tub
• Regular in-service trainings for both in-water and out of water safety skills
• Educating and interacting with members in a friendly manner
• Managing the schedules and breaks of other lifeguards on deck
• Scrubbing the deck, chrome fixtures, supply closet, and windows of the facility
• Training new lifeguards and assisting in lifeguard certification classes
• Teaching YSLI certified swim lessons
• Handling any and all medical emergencies throughout the building

In my role as a camp counselor at 4H I worked to supervise and ensure the welfare of youth ages 6-15. Duties included:

• Leadership, guidance and supervision for a cabin group of campers
• Developed age-appropriate lesson plans that aligned with camp objectives and values
• Leading specialized outdoor recreational classes
• Lifeguarding and maintaining cleanliness of the pool
• Conducted safety drills and emergency preparedness training for staff and campers
